Addressing Industry Demand, the OnCallData e-Prescribing System Supports Physicians Eager to Reduce Medical Errors
Raleigh, N.C. – February 14, 2006 –Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced it has partnered with InstantDx™, a pioneer in electronic prescribing, to provide a convenient and secure way to write electronic prescriptions using Internet-connected devices. This partnership provides physicians with a Web-based e-Prescribing offering. The OnCallData™ product enables providers to write legible prescriptions and approve refills securely and electronically to all pharmacies in seconds, saving up to three hours a day for practices and their staff. With this new partnership, physicians can rapidly check drug-to-drug interactions, drug-to-allergy interactions, patient eligibility, formulary information, and medication history using any personal or handheld computers.
