Enhanced Desktop Configuration/Display: The users' desktop display has been redesigned to increase security of patient data by decreasing the number of desktops needed for workflows within a specific role. System administrators can decrease the number of desktops that must be maintained by assigning security to a tab containing multiple applications, or to the application itself. Now, when a user signs on, they will only see those tabs and applications, which they have permission to use.

Near Miss Archiving: During Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA), Misys CPR now records when the user cancels an attempted administration after receiving "five rights" clinical alerts. The collection of this data occurs at the non-patient specific level and provides the ability, through reports, to analyze the data and understand where potential failure points exist. Based on this data, processes can then be modified to improve long-term patient safety.
