MISYS APPOINTS CARL GIBSON AS DIRECTOR, COMPANY COMMUNICATIONS

London, (13 February, 2008) – Misys plc (FTSE: MSY.L), the global applications software and services company, today announced the appointment of Carl Gibson as Director of Company Communications, effective immediately. He will be responsible for company communications and coordinating strategy and activities for the Misys group of companies.

Carl Gibson joins Misys from British Energy plc where he was credited as the architect of the reputation transformation of nuclear energy. Previously he was the Director of Regulation and Public Policy for Energis, the telecomms and internet company which was acquired by Cable & Wireless. He is a Council Member for the UK PR industry body the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and has over 15 years experience in the communications industry.
