Misys plc appoints three Board members
Misys plc today announces three appointments to its main Executive Board.
Ivan Martin, newly-appointed as CEO, Banking and Securities Division, Tom Skelton, CEO Misys Healthcare Systems and Jasper McMahon, Director of Business Development, are all appointed with immediate effect.
Commenting on the appointments, Misys plc Chairman Kevin Lomax, said : “Over the past few years, we have been developing and growing a strong senior management team. The time is now right to take the next step in this process and make these appointments.
Ivan, Tom and Jasper have all demonstrated their capability and commitment during their period at Misys and will now help to carry forward the leadership of the Group.”
In addition, George Gray, a non-executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, has announced his retirement from the Board on 1 October 2002.
Kevin Lomax added: “Over the last six years, George has made an invaluable contribution to the development of the Group and the Board wishes him well in his retirement.”

Ivan Martin
Chief Executive, Banking and Securities Division (47)
Ivan Martin joined the ACT Group in 1991, and was responsible for its healthcare division until ACT was acquired by Misys in April 1995. He was appointed Divisional Chief Executive of the Information Systems Division of Misys before taking over as Chief Executive of the Financial Services Division in 1996. His previous career includes positions at Unisys.

Jasper joined Misys in August 1996 to develop the Group’s online financial services activities, becoming Chief Executive of the Internet Services Division. Jasper joined the Group from McKinsey & Co, the management consultancy, where he specialised in advising clients in the financial services industry. Jasper’s early career was in investment banking.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Research and Development and leader of product development, technical, support and purchasing functions. Tom has over 19 years’ experience in US Healthcare.
