Misys signs significant banking software contract
Misys plc has today signed one of its largest banking software contracts in Asia, with Bank of India.
The contract for MidasPlus was completed and signed today in Mumbai, India by Ivan Martin, Chief Executive of the Misys Banking and Securities Division, and Shri K.V. Krishnamurthy, Chairman & Managing Director, Bank of India. Bank of India intends to deploy MidasPlus, which facilitates thin client access via any web browser, across an initial seven sites running on a single global hub, to be based in Singapore.
Commenting on the contract, which is the largest ever for Midas in the region, Ivan Martin said: “The Bank of India contract confirms the industry view that Midas is the leading international banking solution. Already used by over 600 customer sites worldwide, it enables banks to benefit from a functionally-rich design as well as advanced technology. We are delighted that Bank of India has selected Misys, a move which reinforces our already strong relationship.”
K.V. Krishnamurthy added: “We are increasingly leveraging technology to expand our delivery channels and to offer cost-effective services to our large customer base.
