Misys appoints Non Executive Director
Misys plc ("Misys"),the global software products and solutions group, today announces that it has appointed Ian Dyson, Group Finance Director of The Rank Group Plc, as a non-executive Director. Ian will join the Misys Board with effect from 1 October 2003.
Ian, aged 41, has been Group Finance Director of Rank since mid 1999, where he has played a lead role in the rationalisation and restructuring of the international leisure and entertainment group, with responsibility for tax, treasury, finance, investor relations, business development and IT. Prior to his time with Rank, Ian was Group Financial Controller of Hilton Plc. He joined Hilton from Granada/Forte plc where he was Finance Director for Meridien. His earlier career was spent primarily with Arthur Andersen.
Ian joins fellow non-executive Directors Tony Alexander, Dr Jurgen Zech, Sir Dominic Cadbury, Robert Ingram and George Farr on the Misys Board. Ian will join the Audit Committee currently chaired by Tony Alexander.
