  • A web-based user interface delivers a rich, modern user experience and simplifies deployment and maintenance. Users can configure their own screens and create their own enquiries to enable better access to data and faster decision-making
  • A Java technical framework defines how users interact with the system, enabling banks to implement efficient and standardised workflows for all inputs. Banks can add fields and customise menus, whilst a new range of application program interfaces (APIs) facilitates integration with other applications
  • Midas Plus with Global Processing allows banks to process the business of multiple entities (‘zones’) in multiple jurisdictions and time zones within the same IT environment. Through Global Processing banks can centralise their IT operations and reduce costs by as much as 15%
  • Over 200 functional enhancements have been made across all the business lines serviced by Midas Plus, including commercial lending, risk management and compliance, treasury, trade finance and cash management

Midas Plus has been developed extensively in a Java EE and IBM WebSphere environment, meaning it benefits from a modern, flexible and scalable architecture. Java EE is currently the most mature n-tier platform available on the market and has been widely adopted as the strategic platform of choice by the majority of financial institutions and similar enterprises.

The flexibility delivered by these industry standard tools strengthens the key capability of Midas: its ability to capture and process data generated by complex front office applications from across the whole spectrum of a bank’s operations. Designed as a modular system, banks can implement additional Midas Plus business areas as needed without disrupting existing bank operations. The system also incorporates a host of built-in configurable options to handle local or individual variations in requirements.

Misys continues to invest in Midas Plus, re-engineering the system to create a fully distributed, SOA compliant architecture. In this way, Midas Plus can easily be extended to other or new components via open standards.
